This week, I experienced a little bit of everything in Ireland, with the exception of snow! During the past three months, I have learned to be prepared for any weather because the skies in Ireland can change in the blink of an eye. There was plenty of sunshine this week but also a bit of rain, sometimes at the same time! In addition, the temperatures were slightly cooler this week than what I have been used to, with wind chills in the mid 30's. It was a shock to me, and I had to break out my hat and gloves!
While exploring the island of Inis Mór and the Connemara region over the weekend, I saw plenty of horses, cows, sheep, donkeys, cats and dogs. I also got the chance to feed a flock of sheep at a kiosk on the side of the road in Connemara. I was surprised by how excited the sheep got. They jumped up onto you if you had food to feed them! It was an experience that I will never forget.
