Hello third graders! Follow along as I chat with my friend Sintu about his experiences growing up and living in South Africa. I love chatting with locals to hear about the culture and day-to-day life in Cape Town from a first person point of view. I met Sintu at a coffee shop during my first few weeks in South Africa, and we have been friends ever since!
Hi there, my name is Anelisa Sintu, but I usually go by just Sintu.
I live in the southern suburb of Plumstead in Cape Town, South Africa. We live in a three bedroom house.
I have an amazing family. I live with my mom and step-dad.
I normally get around using Ubers, public transport or by catching a ride with my friends.
I typically dress with thrifted clothing and pieces that I've made myself because I love to support forward fashion. This means I would rather buy my clothes second hand or upcycle pieces I already own instead of buying new. This practice is better for the Earth as it creates less waste.
