Have you always wanted to work as an Environmental Scientist? Can you tell us about your journey to this career path?
No, I only recently made a transition to this work. I studied zoology and environmental science in college and have my Master's degree in biology. My first interest was in wildlife biology, where I worked for the first part of my career with a focus on researching endangered bat species in the United States (U.S.). I worked as a biological technician for eight years on a variety of projects across the U.S. I aided research projects in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Indiana, completed my Master's research degree in Indiana, and led field research components for a large multi-year research project with the U.S. Geological Survey in Hawaii.
