Food Adventures in Vietnam

Introduction:

Food is something we all need every day. Food gives us energy to learn and grow. Eating food together helps us be close and make friends. Today, I want to share some foods I tried in Vietnam!

What food did I try?:

I tried many yummy foods in Vietnam!

One food I tried is called chè thái. Chè thái is a sweet dessert. It is colorful and fun to eat. It has a mix of tropical fruit, jelly, and coconut milk.

Another food I tried is called bún chả. Bún chả is from northern Vietnam. People eat it for lunch or dinner. It has noodles, grilled meat, vegetables, and sauce.

How did I feel when I tried it?:

I grew up eating Vietnamese food because both my parents are Vietnamese. I have tried chè thái before, but I had never tried bún chả.

When I came to Vietnam, I was surprised. There were many foods I had never tried before. Some foods tasted a little different than I remembered.

I learned that Vietnamese food is different in each region. Southern Vietnamese food is sweeter. Northern Vietnamese food is less sweet and more salty.
