I traveled to Santiago de Compostela, which is a city about 50 miles from Vigo. I took a train that only took about an hour and a half to get there!
I traveled over 100 miles by train and bus this week to get to Santiago and to move around various parts of the city.
After taking the train, I primarily got around Santiago by city bus (1€ a ride) or by foot! Generally in Spain, I tend to prefer walking to other modes of transportation so I can get to know the city better.
Definitely the main cathedral in Santiago de Compostela! The cathedral is the ending point of a historical pilgrimmage made by Catholics for centuries. There are many different paths you can take to Santiago -- some start in Portugal, others start all the way in France! To be in the cathedral where millions of travelers have passed through was a breathtaking experience.
