Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

I didn't do much traveling this week besides the usual commute to school. Choisy-le-Roi isn't that far from where I live, either. It's just a couple of stops away on the Regional Train. The trip takes only about five minutes.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

Sometimes it amazes me that home is almost 6,000 miles away. Even now, I keep forgetting that I live in a completely different time zone. It might be the early afternoon here, but it's the wee hours of the morning in California!

How did I get around this week?:

I've been taking the usual routes by bus and train.

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

I think the old city hall of Choisy-le-Roi is really interesting. It's not actually where the government works anymore, but it's where fancy ceremonies are held. Weddings are often celebrated here! The building is in the typical style of the French countryside.

I also went to the Sunday market of Choisy. It's one of the busiest places I've seen in France so far! It's crowded and noisy, but that just means it's full of life. The vendors sell everything, from food to candy to clothes.
