Hola! My name is Darby Hopson. I grew up with my mom, brother and sister in a small rural town in Tennessee with a (population of only about 200 people! Growing up, I enjoyed playing outside, climbing trees, exploring the woods on our property and taking care of our chickens. For as long as I can remember, I have always been curious about the world around me and the behavior of different people and creatures that inhabit it.
I went to college in a town called Knoxville, about three hours away from where I grew up, close to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. I started out studying nursing for two years before switching to business administration and accounting. Sometimes you don't know what you want to do or you change your mind and that´s totally okay. It is all part of the journey of life and discovering new things about yourself and the world around you! After graduating with my Bachelor´s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting, I went on to pursue a Master´s degree in accounting as well.
After finishing graduate school, I moved to Washington, D.C. to work for a consulting firm where I helped organizations, mainly local governments, improve their business processes by reducing edundancies, saving resources and improving security measures.
