I hope that you have enjoyed following my journey these past months. I am certainly having a wonderful time over here and was so happy to be able to share it with you. From my first weeks exploring the city and my school, to learning more about popular foods and daily routines and to discovering the similarities and differences between holidays in Spain and in the U.S.
What was the most interesting thing you learned? What was your favorite part? It is hard for me to pick one! I really liked sharing about the different holidays Spain celebrates compared to the United States. For example, their traditions surrounding Halloween. I also loved talking about food! I love trying new foods and there are so many here.
I hope that you have learned a lot about Spain. Remember, that although many things are different, a lot of things are still the same! The children have many of the same interests as you. They still watch YouTube, play video games and practice sports. There are many differences all over the world, and as you continue to learn more about our world, I encourage you to recognize those differences, but also the similarities.
I know that you have read a lot about life here in Spain and some things that may sound crazy. For example, not eating lunch until 2:00 PM!
