Kids in Argentina

I will talk about a lot of these foods more in my next post about food in Argentina.

What is your house like?:

My house is ancient and big.

Tata and her mother live in an apartment in an older building in a nice neighborhood of the city with a cultural center that has art, museums, events, parks and a lot of good restaurants.

What chores do you have at home?:

Doing my bed and setting the table.

In Spanish, the word hacer means "to make" and "to do". So here, Tata means "making my bed" but probably couldn't remember which word she needed because there is only one word that means both in Spanish.

What jobs do your parents have?:

My mom is a graphic designer and my dad is a business administrator.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

My school starts at 8:00 a.m. and it ends between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. (it depends on the day).

Most Spanish schools have a break in the middle of the day for lunch and a nap, and then the students go back.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

I go to school walking alone.

Tata's school is in her neighborhood, which is safe, and she has gone there since she was very little, so she knows the way.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

My favorite food is tacos or sushi.

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

Tata speaks mostly Spanish and a little bit of English at school.
