Interview with Angie

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

I dress very casually, so I mostly wear jeans and sweaters. For my job at the library, the dress code is very relaxed which suits me well.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I love to read more than anything. I also like to go to art museums and exhibits.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak French. In Réunion, where I'm from, the official language is French but a lot of people also speak Réunion Creole, which might be similar to some versions of Creole spoken in places close to the United States like Haiti.

If I am meeting someone for the first time, I would say "Bonjour" which is hello in French. If I know the person though, I would just say "Alo" or "Salut", which would translate roughly to "Hey" or "Hi".

Do you have pets?:

No, I love animals, but I do not have any right now.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I have travelled around France and a little bit of Europe.

What do you do for work?:

I work at the library on the weekends, and then during the week I go to school. I am studying business administration.

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

One of the places I most want to travel is New York, so I am very excited to do this interview, and have students who actually live there read my responses!
