The weather was mostly sunny, even though Barranquilleros have told me that it´s the ´rainy season´ here right now.
While on my hike I saw a blue parrot and a snake. I have a cousin who works for the reptile house in a zoo, so I sent him a picture of the snake. He told me that the snake I found is a Fer-De-Lance snake. These snakes are venomous. Their bite can be fatal!
I took a bus to a beach on the Caribbean Sea. It´s called Playa Mendoza (playa means beach in Spanish). The beach had palm trees and seemingly endless sparkling water. There were sand dollars all over the beach and fish swimming up against my legs in the water! This was my first time visiting this beach and already I can't wait to go back.
