The black and white pudding is sausage, but it's mixed with a few different spices and ingredients that threw off the taste of sausage that I was expecting. Also, as you might guess, rolls are not the same as those buttermilk biscuits.
I prepared the meal the same way as I would back home. I wasn't sure how much of the pudding to use, and I'm afraid I may have added too much.
This particular meal is not connected to the local environment or the country of Ireland. It is not something they have heard of or eat themselves. My German friends did enjoy the new experience, even if I was a little upset with the quality of my cooking that morning! I'll keep introducing you to some other Irish foods here as I encounter them.
