Exploring a foreign country is an adventure, and figuring out how you're going to explore that country is another adventure in itself. I came here with no car to drive all the places I want to go. Instead, I've had to learn how everyone else here does it!
In Ireland, many people have personal vehicles they drive, just as we do at home. I've seen mostly compact cars. These are small cars that fit four people comfortably. There are also small SUVs here, but they're not as common as cars. I have seen very few trucks. In fact, there are mostly delivery or work trucks, not trucks to use as personal vehicles. Public transportation consists of buses that run on a set schedule. I have not seen any school buses, though. Most the children seem to walk to school, catch a public bus or ride to school with their parents.
I had never taken a public bus before, so I was completely lost on my first couple bus rides. At first I wasn't sure where the stops were located. I wasn't sure if the buses were taking me exactly where I needed to go or if I was supposed to get off at a certain stop and walk the rest of the way. Luckily for me, the bus drivers were really nice and offered me advice on which stops to take.
