There are also a lot of crows that live around the central Tokyo area. Typically called the Hashibuto Karasu, these crows are huge, often growing to be about 23 inches in length! They're usually not afraid of people either, and will often swoop down low while flying or even go through crowds!
The coolest thing I happened to see in nature this week was when I watched the sunset next to Mount Fuji while walking across a beach cliffside! Even though it was a bit foggy and cloudy due to the weather, it was an amazing experience to watch the sun setting beside to the mountain.
In other news, the sakura or cherry blossom trees have started to bloom in the Tokyo area! Due to the recent changes in weather from hot and cold days, many of the cherry blossom trees and sakura trees started to bloom later than expected this season. In some areas, they still are in their bud form! Hopefully, I'll be able to share more later about these beautiful trees with everyone once they start blossoming! :)
