For this field note, we'll be interviewing Yuyu! Yuyu is currently a foreign/study abroad student who has been living here in Japan for a while now and is also studying at Temple University Japan Campus located in Sangengaya.
Yuyu's full name is Yin YuYu (鄞鈺瑜)!
Yuyu currently lives around the Harajuku/Shibuya area in a shared house! A shared house is a rental space where people from various locations rent out a room within a housing situation and have various shared common spaces where they can meet other tenants and meet new people! Yuyu used to live in the United States but has since come to Japan to explore the culture for a couple of years now.
Yuyu has an older sister currently living in the United States, working as a nutritionist, and enjoys a variety of hobbies, such as baking, cooking, and journaling! Yuyu's mother and father also live in the United States now, but they both used to explore and live in different countries and a variety of other locations before settling down in the United States. Yuyu mentioned that while she enjoys living in Japan on her own, she misses her family very much and tries to keep in touch with them through SNS or social media messaging platforms!
