The weather was perfect during the daytime. It was in the 60s, with a cool breeze blowing. At night in the desert, the tempertures dropped to the high 30s and low 40s. Chilly, but warm compared to our apartment in Bucharest.
We saw desert lizards, goats, crows, sheep, camels, mules, horses, puppies and cats.
We saw two little puppies nestled together trying to warm up in the chilly desert morning on our hike up to see some 2,000-year-old Nabataean tombs. The Nabataeans are the people who built the city of Petra into the cliffs. We also got to ride on a camel through Petra.
Cats were everywhere! Jordanians are very friendly to cats. We even saw one hanging out at a holy site we went to visit!
