Visiting Guanajuato

Guanajuato is a state in central Mexico. I visited Guanajuato City and San Miguel de Allende. They were both beautiful! Guanajuato is my favorite place I've visited in Mexico.

The city of Guanajuato is found in a narrow valley. This makes the streets very narrow and winding. There are a lot of hills in the city.
Guanajuato is famous for its mummies. We visited the Mummy Museum which houses a collection of specimens that mummified naturally.
We visited a mine in Guanajuato City called La Valenciana. La Valenciana was one of the most productive silver mines in the world.
The Valenciana Mine is open to tourists. When it was a functioning mine there weren't any stairs and the miners had to carry what they extracted up a rocky path.
I love seeing dogs everywhere I go!
The streets of San Miguel de Allende are full of beautiful architecture and colors.
Mexico is full of beautiful churches. Doesn't this one look like a castle?
