What main languages are spoken here?:

There are four official languages spoken in Singapore: these are English, Mandarin, Tamil, and Malay. 

What type of money is used here?:

The type of money used in Singapore is called the Singapore Dollar. The bills range from $2, $5, $10, $50 up to $100. There also some elegant $1 coins, but those are not used as often as the bills. 

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water bought from a vending machine costs about $1 to $2 Sinapore Dollars. This is equivalent to $0.75 to $1.50 US Dollars. 

What was the best meal this week?:

This is a hard question! In Singapore, it is common to eat at a Hawker Center, which is a large cafeteria with many different meal options. For this week, my favorite meal was the traditional Singapore-style breakfast, which consists of two soft-boiled eggs, two pieces of Kaya toast, and a milk tea. 

What music did I listen to this week?:

During the first week, I felt a bit homesick, and I remember that I played a lot of Mexican-style music to remind me of home. Luckily I had a lot of playlists downloaded to my phone!

What activity was the most fun this week?:

This week, the most fun activity I participated in was a ferry ride to different small islands off the coast of Singapore.
