Merve is twenty-one years old and has lived in the Netherlands her whole life. She has an interesting heritage and has traveled to many places in Europe. When I arrived, she eagerly welcomed me into her classroom and I have really enjoyed getting to know her. I think it's particularly interesting that she teaches bilingual classes. That means that she has to switch between Dutch and English with her students!
My full name is Merve Karadurmus. That is actually a Turkish name!
I live in Almere, which is quite close to Amsterdam and Utrecht. Most cities are close to one another becase the country is fairly small.
Even though my family members and I have separate lives, we are also very close. We always make time for breakfast together on the weekends.
I used to bike a lot, but as a student, you can travel for free with public transportation. I switched to public transportation for a while, but now I have my own car, which I use for all of my travels. I do ride my bike or use the bus when it is more convenient.
