Cartagena and Bogotá are 664 miles apart! It would take over 17 hours to drive from one city to the other. Luckily I flew, which only took one and a half hours!
On this journey to Cartagena, I was 2,041 miles from my home in Philadelphia, and just over 2,100 miles from you guys in the Bronx!
This week I mainly walked, trying my best to stay in the shade to avoid the intense heat of the sun! However, when I visited Isla Baru, I took a speed boat, which offered some pretty views of the city from the water.
I really enjoyed visiting El Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas! It was really cool walking through the tunnels and seeing the cannons up close. The castle was built on top of the Hill of San Lázaro, so the view from the top of the castle was breathtaking!
I loved visiting Cartagena, but I was relieved to get back to Bogotá to escape the heat!
