What main languages are spoken here?:

Malay, or Bahasa (language) Malaysia is the official language of Malaysia. While Malay is the official language, many languages are spoken here, including English, Chinese dialects and Indian dialects.

What type of money is used here?:

The ringgit! Riggits are smaller than American money and are made out of a durable plastic material so they stay dry even during the monsoon. Each colorful ringgit displays the same front image, while each denomination has a unique back picture. Back pictures display different important aspects of Malaysian culture. One ringgit bills show a wau, a traditional Malaysian kite. Five ringgit bills display a rhinoceros hornbill, a famous bird found in east Malaysia. Ten ringgit bills featurie a rafflesia, a parasitic flowering plant that can be 39 inches in diameter and weigh up to 22 pounds! 20 ringgit bills depict a leatherback and green sea turtle swimming merrily across their shiny yellow surface. 50 ringgit bills display a picture to commemorate the birth of the palm oil industry, and the 100 ringgit bill depicts Malaysia’s highest mountain, Mount Kinabalu, located in Sabah, Malaysia.
