Dakar is the westernmost city in Africa, and I love the beaches, museums, and markets that sell colorful fabrics and artwork, here. In November, I will be moving to the village of Ndiaganiao, where I will be interning at a center for children with disabilities.
So far, I've had the opportunity to visit amazing places throughout Senegal. It was fascinating to visit l’Île de Gorée and learn about the history of slavery in Senegal. I also visited a mangrove ecosystem in rural Senegal and got to visit an island covered in seashells. During this exchange, I will help you discover life in Senegal, the Land of Teraanga (Land of Hospitality).
