Overall, the weather this week has been filled with sunny skies along with some gray clouds, but no rain or snow. It gets warm throughout the afternoon and then gets chilly at night when the sun sets.
The first animal I ever saw when I arrived in Korea and still always see around campus was a beautiful black-headed bird with a white chest and royal blue wings. After seeing it multiple times and hearing its loud chirping fill the beautiful nature on campus, I did research to find out what species this bird was. This beautiful bird is called the Korean Magpie and it is a common species found in Korea and China. Being located in the middle of a busy, bustling city, it's hard for me to focus on the sounds of nature. So, on days when I walk to class and spot a Korean Magpie in the sky, I walk slower and listen to its chirping as it brings the nature around campus to life.
