This week I traveled about 10 kilometers on boats around the coast of Tofo! Besides my research trips on the boat, I spent most of my time in my town. This past week I have enjoyed walking around and getting to know my new home!
So far I have traveled over 8,500 miles! Richmond, Virginia is about 8,423 miles from Tofo, Mozambique. I have also traveled many miles by boat, and car since arriving!
I walked to most places I needed to go. One of my neighbors invited me to go to the grocery store with her which was very kind because the grocery store is about a 30-minute walk. She has a truck so we were able to drive there, and we did not have to walk home with our groceries!
The ocean is the most interesting place I was in this week. Every time I go out on a research boat I never know what I will see. It is very exciting to not know what adventure awaits me every day.
