My Interview with High School Students

Introduction:

Gressy (girl) and Sonyu (boy) are both 15 years old and attend the high school, San Roque, here at my site. I work with them and the rest of the 120 students that attend the school for my work. Here are some answers from them about their lives here in Peru.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

Gressy: For breakfast, I eat bread with cheese and water. For lunch I have a segundo (main dish) usually with potato and rice. For dinner, I have tea and bread.

Sonyu: For breakfast I like to have quaker (a type of oat drink). For lunch, I usually have soup and bread. For dinner, I have a  segundo (main dish).

What is your house like?:

Gressy: My house has two floors. There are three bathrooms, four bedrooms for me and my siblings, a front and back porch, a living room, and a kitchen.

Sonyu: My parents are not together so I have two houses- one for each parent.

What chores do you have at home?:

Gressy: I do a lot of chores. I usually cook dinner for my family and sometimes I make breakfast, too. I wash my clothes and clean the house. 

Sonyu: I clean my room and help my parents when they ask.

What jobs do your parents have?:

Gressy: My dad lives away and works in construction.
