This week, I traveled 1,435 miles from Pontianak to Labuan Bajo. That is almost the same distance as from San Jose, California, to Austin, Texas.
From Chicago to Jakarta, Indonesia, I traveled 9,810 miles. From Jakarta to Pontianak, I traveled 500 miles. From Pontianak to Lombok, I traveled 1,080 miles.
In Indonesia, most people use motorbikes, and some people use cars. We use apps on our phones called "Grab" and "Gojek," which are like Uber. I use Gojek to call a motorbike, and the motorbike picks me up and takes me where I want to go!
We went to a giant reef called "Batu Bolong." It is one of the most famous diving sites in the world! Sometimes, there are manta rays there. Rays are fish with wide fins that look like wings. Manta rays are the largest type of rays! We didn't see any manta rays, but our guide reminded us, "no manta, no cry!"
