Not much farther than last week. I am so far out into the ocean! It's really crazy to think about! I'm surprised every time I see an airplane in the sky. Random fact: Scientists recently discovered a lost continent under Mauritius! They also say that gravity is higher here than anywhere else in the world. How strange!
I got around all right using my car, but the traffic was pretty bad all week. What is normally a ten-minute drive took about 30 minutes. I think it is partially because this is the most popular time of year for tourists to visit the island.
Ilot Bernaches was a beautiful place to visit! The island of Mauritius is surrounded by many tiny islands — yes, they're even tinier than this one! Some of them are little more than a beach. Ilot Bernaches made for a wonderful day in shallow, calm water.
