I didn’t travel far this week, but I did explore some new neighborhoods in Seoul, like Apgujeong and Hannam-dong. These areas are known for their trendy cafes, restaurants, and shops. I had a great time trying different coffee styles, hanging out with friends, and doing a bit of shopping.
So far, I’ve visited three cities in South Korea! I started in Seoul, then went to Busan in the south. After that I went to Gyeongju with its amazing historical sites like temples and palaces. I’m hoping to explore more cities in November to see more of Korea’s unique places!
Seoul’s public transportation is so convenient! I usually take the bus or metro, which makes it easy to get to school and around the city. The metro and buses stop running at midnight, so if I’m out late with friends, we sometimes take a taxi. They even have Uber here, which makes it simple to get a ride.
This week, I had the chance to visit the Blue House, which is like the White House in the United States! My friend and I joined a group of students, and we had a guide who shared lots of interesting facts about the Blue House and its history.
