Oof! Over the past few days, I've traveled from Americana, São Paulo (the capitol city of São Paulo) to my current location in Belém, Pará. From the southeast of Brazil to the northern region, this distance is similar to traveling to Florida from Montana!
I've been lucky enough to travel all over Brazil! My journey started in São Paulo, then I traveled to Rio de Janeiro and Bahia (in the northeast). After going back to São Paulo, I'm now completing my trip in Belém, Pará (in the north). In total, I've traveled around 8500 km, or over 5000 miles! Can you trace this journey on a map of Brazil with your finger? You'll see that I've covered a lot of ground.
I flew to get to Belém, and then I took a taxi to my current room where I'm staying. After that, I've been walking everywhere I need to go. It's difficult in this humid heat, but nothing too terrible. I am in the rainforest, afterall!
