I Get Around: Transportation in Germany

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

There is definitely an aspect of transportation here that is culutrally different. It is possible to easily travel without a car, whereas this is rarely the case in America. There are many reasons and only some of them are environmental. It is true that Germans are environmentally-conscious. There are also very few parking spaces. Everything is closer together and generally smaller in Europe. The cars are smaller, and there are not many large parking lots like there are in America.
