I was so excited to be in Paris because I had never been before, and I had always heard how beautiful the city was, and how delicious the food is. In Paris, I got to visit so many famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Notre Dame cathedral, and I got to see the river that runs through Paris, called the Seine. The food was so amazing, and I can't wait to tell you all about my favorite food I tried: a croissant!
When we left the Louvre, we stopped by a great café that sold delicious baguettes, croissants, sandwiches and other pastries such as cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. The café sold both chocolate and pur beurre croissants, which means an all-butter croissant. I tried the croissant pur beurre, and it was delicious!
When I tried my croissant, I felt so happy: it was so warm on a cold day, and I was so happy that I got to share the experience with my friends. The croissant tasted buttery, and the pastry was so soft. I had tried croissants before at home in the U.S. and always loved them, but trying a fresh croissant in Paris felt like a "once in a lifetime" experience!
