This week, I traveled 770 miles from London to Vienna, Austria. It was such a fun trip, and Vienna is such a beautiful city. I feel so lucky that I have the opportunity to travel outside of London, especially because it is so easy to get around the rest of Europe from London.
So far on this journey, I have traveled from London to Liverpool to see a soccer game; from London to Paris for a weekend, which I told you all about last week; and now from London to Vienna. So far, I have travelled roughly 1200 miles on my journey abroad!
In London, I get around by using public transportation, mostly the "Tube" but sometimes also the bus. The Tube is London's underground subway system, and the buses are the famous red double-decker buses! The Tube is my favorite because there is a station next to the apartment I am living in; so getting around is quick and easy, which is a good thing in all that London rain!
The most interesting place I visited this week was Belvedere Palace, a museum in Vienna. The paintings were so beautiful, and the palace itself was so beautiful and big, it was hard to imagine that someone actually owned the palace and lived there before!
