Hello there! My name is Miranda Almeida. I am 23 years old, and I live in Dana Point, California. I love to spend time outside, enjoying the fresh air and learning about nature. Hiking, biking, exploring tidepools, surfing and paddleboarding are some of my favorite activities to do outside. I especially love spending time at the beach and learning about all of the creatures that live in the ocean. In college, I studied Orca whales. Now, I work at Dana Wharf Whale Watching which is a company that takes people on boat rides to see whales in the wild! Whales are my favorite animals, and I enjoy learning about them by reading, researching and seeing them in their natural habitat. Learning about and experiencing nature makes me very happy. I love to learn about nature, and I also enjoy learning Spanish. I speak English, but my dad’s family speaks Spanish, so I wanted to learn how to communicate with them in Spanish. Therefore, I studied Spanish in college. A great way to learn Spanish is to travel to a place where many people speak Spanish and to practice with them. Spain is a country where many people speak Spanish, so I traveled there to practice the language.
