This week I had a rare chance to drive in a car with another teacher. I consider this to be a rare occurrence because very few people own cars. I asked my teacher friend a few questions about how she prefers to travel. She told me that she prefers to use motorbikes because they are more convenient than cars. She also said that she only uses her car when it rains. Also, the roads around Lang Son tend to be narrow, making another argument for the effectiveness of motorbikes as an efficent way of getting around in busy streets. Hanoi also has narrow streets but not Ho Chi Minh City.
