German is the main language spoken in the Dresden region, but you can hear a special dialect of German here called sächsisch. In the sächsisch dialect, some consonants, such as "t" are pronounced more like a "d" and "k" is pronounced more closely to a "g" sound.

This week I had the most delicious piece of pumpkin cheesecake and a large mug of Milchkaffee, which is coffee with lots of milk and foam.
