While Berlin is located in an area that gets really chilly, in the winter there is no real snow. The little bit of snow we received in December was the first snowfall in over 10 years. All week, we've had cold winds with clouds that hide the sun all day. When the sun does pop out, it stays for an hour and then disappears back behind the clouds.
This week I primarily saw dogs, all dressed up in little vests, in stores and on the subway systems. I also saw a swarm of birds living in a bundle of vines that flooded out unexpectedly and scared me half to death. Cats hang out on balconies and the street, all living the good life. I also spotted a fox who decide that it was time to go on an adventure.
