Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

This week I traveled quite far. The trip to Safed took around four hours in total, Ein Hod took around one hour, and Tel Aviv around four. I used both local buses and the train to make my way all across Israel this week.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

I have been trying to travel a lot during my journey because I believe the best way to get to know a culture and people is by visiting their local towns and cultural centers. This is why I took many trips up to the north and down to the south of Israel and hope to travel even further in the future.

How did I get around this week?:

This week, I used both buses and trains. I love to travel on the train because of the beautiful views I can see outside the window as well as the comfort of the seats. Train travel is a great way to meet Israelis, as well!

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

I found Safed to be the most interesting place I visited this week. Safed is a religious Jewish town and is the home to a type of Jewish learning called Kaballah. Kaballah is the mystical aspect of Jewish learning and is deeply rooted in Judaism. The town of Safed has a great mix of art, spirituality and culture.
