I found a bottle of water that cost about €1.80. There are no water fountains in the city, so I couldn't get any water for free. Even in restaurants, the water is not free. You usually have to pay for a bottle, instead of being offered free tap water.
Dinant is famous for its couques de Dinant (Dinant cookies). The city is very famous for these cookies. Couques de Dinant aren't meant to be bitten into. Instead, you're supposed to break the cookie into pieces with your hands and then allow the pieces to melt slowly in your mouth. They are very hard cookies, so it hurts to bite into them.
