On Friday the 13th, I attended the Brussels Comic Strip Festival. Brussels is considered the world capital of the comic for having created characters such as Tintin, Spirou, Lucky Luck and even our beloved Smurfs!
This week I read "The Handmaid's Tale" in French. I haven't finished it yet, but I can't wait to continue reading it tomorrow!
I didn't play any sports myself, but I watched a group of students from my college have a Nerf gun battle. It seemed like such a great way to have some fun after class.
My birthday was Monday the 16th, so I bought myself a piece of cherry pie. Buying an entire cake from the grocery store isn't common. Pastries like pies and chocolate bread are more part of the culture here.
