For my winter break, I traveled from Khovd to Ulaanbaatar, which are nearly 914 miles apart!
I’m spending one year in Khovd, Mongolia, so while I may take some trips to other parts of the country, most of my time will be spent in Khovd!
By walking and ninja taxi! It’s a good way to get around, and helps me build up my Mongolian language skills!
Sukhbaatar Square is always really interesting! It’s the main square and a famous tourist destination. This week, there’s lots of gers (nomadic tents) set up in the square, so that protestors against government corruption can stay warm in cold weather.
I was really excited to see my Mongolian host sister this week! We haven't seen each other in 5 years, so it was so nice to catch up!
