The region I live in, Moravia-Silesia, is a beautiful part of the country. The Jeseníky Mountains provide a unique environment where we can experience different plants, animals and natural features, and enjoy fresh air. However, these mountains can also make for some difficult weather conditions. But people have been able to adjust to these conditions well over time.
The Czech Republic is a very small country. The whole country is about the same size as South Carolina. Therefore, the environment is not quite as diverse as in the United States. But the region that I live in, Moravia-Silesia, is a bit different than the rest of the country, as we are in the Jeseníky mountains. The higher altitude in the mountains creates a unique environment that's much different than Alabama. This area has special plants and animals that can't live in other parts of the country.
For example, there are many spruce forests, peat bogs and alpine meadows in the mountains. There are also special thermal springs where the water is supposed to be extra good for your health. Some are spas where you can swim and enjoy these special waters!
