Do you remember that I said Morocco is in a drought, for over ten years? Well, actually the weather this last week has been such a blessing that no one is complaining about the rain and cold, but... wow! It's really chilly, especially for most of us who live here with no heat. Imagine that for a moment. How would you stay warm if you had no heat? Would you wear your big winter jacket and two pairs of socks on your feet? That's what many of us do. Can you guess why there is no heat in most of the houses here in Morocco? I'll give you a hint - It has to do with average temperatures here. It's rarely cold, so soon we will all be sweating here and it will be 110 degrees during the summer, or even hotter!
This week I actually saw and heard frogs. I rarely hear or see frogs, but today I saw one in the road. I also saw lots of chickens, dogs, a donkey and some cats walking around. I also saw many kinds of birds, including pigeons, starlings, doves, cranes, and little songs birds, too.
