The weather this week, like always, was pretty consistent. The mornings from around 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. are a bit chilly, and I usually leave the house with a jacket or a cardigan. Then from 9:00 a.m. to about 2:00 p.m., if it's sunny, it can feel pretty hot, and I usually remove a layer. This week was pretty cloudy and temperate, though, so one layer of a thin long sleeve was sufficient most days. It only rained a couple of times, and it wasn't very heavy rain at all.
This week, I saw lots of dogs and cats. There are tons of stray dogs here, and the ones with owners roam off-leash more often than not, unlike in the U.S. You don't see many stray cats, but many restaurants and cafés have store cats that mosey from table to table and hop onto willing guests' laps. I also saw lots of beautiful butterflies, bees and fish on my visit to Bogotá's botanical garden.
