The coolest thing I saw in nature was an adorable kitten! Honestly, I’m not certain if it was a kitten, but it was small and super cute. I wanted it to stay near me but a man shooed it away with a broom!
A friend of mine who’s also in the U.S. Fulbright Program visited Zuma Rock this week. This landmark is a huge, natural monolith made from gabbro (dark, coarse–grained igneous rock) and granodiorite (medium–grained igneous rock). My friend had told me that she was so exhausted from the heat and incline that she decided to climb a nearby hill instead of the actual Rock.
