The weather in the DR is pretty consistent, especially in my town. It is hot all year round and there is minimal rain because I live in the desert. Most towns in this country experience frequent rain and humidity. However, I am in the driest part of the DR. We are currently in winter here, and because of that, the temperatures have dropped to the 80s and the wind has picked up. Due to the increase in wind, all of the children on my street and throughout the town are making chichiguas (kites).
El clima en la RD es más o menos lo mismo todos los días, específicamente en mi pueblo. Hace calor todo el año y no hay mucha lluvia porque yo vivo en el desierto. La mayoría de los pueblos en este país tienen lluvias frecuentes y humedad. Sin embargo, estoy en la parte más seca del país. Estamos en invierno aquí y por eso las temperaturas bajaron a las ochentas y hay más viento que normal. Debido al viento, muchos niños que viven cerca de mi, y muchos niños en mi comunidad en general, hacen chichiguas.
