When I was on my way to a town called Bani, I encountered a bunch of iguanas. Iguanas are super common in the dry national parks of the DR. They will come really close to you when you approach them because many people try to feed them bread (even though this is against the rules). There are iguanas by the lake near my community, but before this week I didn't know there were iguanas in other parts of the country.
Cuando fui a un pueblo que se llama Bani, me encontré con muchas iguanas. Iguanas son comunes en los parques nacionales y en las partes más secas del país. Se acercan mucho a ti cuando te acerques porque mucha gente intenta darles comida (a pesar de que está en contra de las reglas). Hay iguanas que viven cerca del lago en mi comunidad y, antes de esta semana, no sabía que había iguanas en otras partes del país.
