Siem Reap is super hot. The weather can be quite dry this time of year and the sun could be scorching hot in the afternoon. I had to spend time indoors or under the shade a lot. During the rainy season later in the summer, the weather can get a lot more humid and become unbearable.
There are a lot of small lizards all over the place. We usually see them hanging out alongside building walls. My friends and I also noticed a super cool huge grey spider while we were out shopping at an outdoor market. It scared me quite a bit!
My friends and I took a day trip from Siem Reap to the highlands in the north of Cambodia. We went to a national park called Phnom Kulen. The park is famous for its waterfall and we were able to swim underneath it. The water was quite cool and refreshing under the intense afternoon heat.
