Typically, it's always sunny in Malaysia, especially after March, which marks the end of the rainy season, but this week was more cloudy and rainy than usual.
In addition to seeing a two foot long lizard, I saw a squirrel for the first time in Malaysia!
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was the lizard. It was the longest one I've ever seen! Lizards like the one I saw slightly scare me. They are large and scurry shockingly fast!
Perlis is known for a few things. In addition to being the smallest state in Malaysia (Rhode Island, the smallest state in America, is almost 400 times larger than Perlis!), Perlis is also known for its sweet mangoes called harum manis (pronounced HA-roo MAH-nis) that are considered as the best mangoes in Southeast Asia! Unfortunately, harum manis season is over, but now it’s durian season! A durian is the most unusual fruit I’ve ever eaten.
