This cave was used as a home, a hosptial and food storage for many scared people who lived in this city during the war.
The city of Budapest actually has two parts. On one side of the Danube River is the oldest part of the city, Buda. On the other side of the river is the newer part of the city, Pest. When you put those two parts together, you get Budapest. Buda + Pest = Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
