This is a short interview that I did with my host sister, Latifa, about her life in Morocco.
Her full name is Latifa Aboudati.
Latifa lives in Daudiat, Marrakesh which is very close to the Old City here in Morocco. Her house is big and has four floors. On the first floor, there is the kitchen, two rooms and a salon (one is for guests and the other for everyday use, similar to a dining room). Latifa and her dad live on the second floor, which also has a bathroom. Her brother lives on the third floor.
Latifa's family is very kind! Latifa has three sisters and one brother. Her brother is learning Chinese, while I am learning Arabic. Her oldest sister is a physics teacher and her other two sisters are English teachers.
Her mom is an amazing cook. Her dad was an Arabic professor at a University before he retired.
Latifa used to get around on her moped but now she walks about 30 minutes to school. She also takes taxis when she wants to meet up with friends.
